Perfectly willing to throw Amy away for an impulsive mistake. What episode are you referring to there? I think early 11 would have absolutely tried to help clara rather than be angry. Look at how he treated Kazran Sardick in the Christmas Carol episode, Henry Avery in The Curse of the Black Spot, and Amy in Rebel Flesh. Series 7, after he left the Ponds and started spending more time alone, changed drastically, and may have even left her there. The betrayals of trust and abuses of power he witnessed or experienced in A Town Called Mercy, Crimson Horror, Rings of Akhaten and Bells of St John prove how ruthless 11 could be after spending time alone.

Level 1 The documentary about this is on Netflix. Titled “The Devil We Know. ” It is an excellent watch, albeit scary AF. level 2 I was confused for a moment because of all the promotional material for the supposed Nazi concentration camp guard but that's called "The Devil Next Door" level 2 Great doc, watched it on a cold winter day last year and it was really gripping. I lost my first wife to cancer and now am a cancer survivor myself, and I grew up in southeast Texas near many many DuPont plants. To say this film hits close to home is an understatement. Curious the actual town the movie portrays. level 2 Probably Parkersburg, West Virginia. Its the town from the actual lawsuit level 2 Hello fellow SETX escapee! level 2 Two other comments mentioned it, but a combination between Cincinnati where Robert Bilott's (Mark Ruffalo) law firm is and Parkersburg, WV where the farmers and the main DuPont plant that was under investigation was. level 2 It was shot here in Cincinnati, so if it isn't actually Cincinnati, it used the town's locations to approximate a Bustling Metropolis on the cheap. The "downtown New York" shots in the first Avengers and Captain America: The Winter Soldier were done in Cleveland, so pretty much anyplace is possible. level 2 Didn't Mark Ruffalo play a DuPont in Foxcatcher? level 2 Dont forget Victor Garner, underrated actor that should be in more movies. level 2 From participant who brought you The Post That's a weird phrase to put in a trailer. level 1 Most interesting to me is that Todd Haynes of all people directed this, an unusual studio hire job for him. That alone has me interested enough in this. level 2 Safe dealt with environmental themes too, so I can see why Todd Haynes signed onto this even if it looks a lot more straight-forward and commercial than his other movies.

I want you to see a movie about toxic waste and a deadly, manmade chemical that is, right now, inside your body, like a timebomb, and will possibly someday cause you or your loved ones to contract cancer or endocrine disorders!
No, really, it's a good movie. "Dark Waters" had my attention throughout, and it wasn't depressing as one might think. That's because the center of the film is a real hero, Robert Bilott, a high-priced lawyer who sacrificed much of his personal and professional life, and his health, to researching the deadly chemical, DuPont's manipulation of the public, and to getting some financial compensation for victims.
Bilott's own book is titled "Exposure: Poisoned Water, Corporate Greed, and One Lawyer's Twenty-Year Battle against DuPont." That title offers a good plot summary.
Mark Ruffalo stars as Robert Bilott. Wilbur Tennant (Bill Camp) a dairy farmer from Bilott's grandmother's West Virginia hometown, asks Bilott to discover why his cows are dying horrible deaths. Another lawyer might walk away, But Bilott, urged on by Tennant, does research and discovers that DuPont, as part of the manufacture of Teflon pans, produces a chemical that harms and kills humans, that never breaks down, and that is found, now, in the bodies of virtually all living things on earth, including humans.
DuPont knew this but hid the information. Bilott's research uncovered DuPont's own extensive reports that detailed exactly how the chemical damaged human bodies. Bilott is shown meeting with DuPont employees who talk frankly about working on Teflon and giving birth to defective babies and needing to have hysterectomies.
A few of the real people involved in this horror show appear in the film. These include William "Bucky" Bailey who was born with one nostril and a deformed eye. He had over thirty surgeries during his childhood. In a YouTube video, Bucky talks about his fears of fathering his own children. He was told he might pass his deformities on.
I grew up near DuPont sites in New Jersey. Higher rates of cancer are reported there. Four members of my immediate family died from cancer and I've had cancer twice. Even so, I was compelled by and appreciated this movie. Watching the dedication of Robert Bilott and his tireless efforts was refreshing. The script and direction maintain a fast pace and I was never bored. In fact the film is a fascinating glimpse into power, the legal system, the rigors of research, evil, and virtue. I didn't have time to sink into despair.

The pearl chroma is pretty solid, and the other three are fine, but overall obsidian is the way to go in my opinion.
